Cramer Decker Industries Acquires Assets of McTier Supply Co.
Cramer Decker Industries, the nation’s largest wholesaler of compressed gas and cryogenic equipment and related products, announced its entrance into the propane industry today with its acquisition of certain assets of McTier Supply Company.
Founded in 1971 and headquartered in Lake Forest, Illinois, McTier Supply Company has been a Sherwood distributor in both the high pressure gas and propane industries for almost 35 years, offering an extensive assortment of regulators, valves, fittings and other operating equipment to customers located throughout the Midwestern and Western United States.
“This acquisition allows us to enter the propane industry in a seamless manner,” stated Paul Cramer, Vice President and Director of Compressed Gas Operations at Cramer Decker Industries. “We have been aggressively looking for ways to expand our business in our traditional high pressure markets,” explained Mr. Cramer, “and we have been actively identifying opportunities in related industries, like propane.” “This transaction increases our presence in the high pressure industry, and gives us immediate access to the propane market,” continued Mr. Cramer, “it’s a perfect fit for our business.”
Cramer Decker Industries will immediately begin servicing all McTier high pressure and propane customers located in 16 states. “Importantly,” stated Mr. Cramer, “our acquisition of McTier assets allows us to bring our significant buying power and resulting price savings, substantial inventories and exceptional service to a new and larger group of customers, and we’re excited to earn their business.”
